ABOUT ME

I am Marcos Domato, born in Vigo in 1986. In my family there has always been a great interest in crafts, from blacksmithing to carpentry or even electronics. This has greatly influenced my personality, which, together with my passion for music and the guitar, has made me interested in lutherie. I trained as a luthier at the School of Arts and Crafts in Vigo with the teacher Ramón Casal with whom I learned to work in the manufacture of an acoustic instrument. I was also lucky enough to train in Madrid with the guitarists Javier Castaño and José Salinas, who helped me specialize in the construction of the classical guitar. In my workshop, open since 2015, a scientific approach is carried out, always trying to find the best classical guitar architecture, always using high-quality wood with the best acoustic and aesthetic properties, from sustainable and responsible cultivation. All my guitars are handcrafted in my workshop, where I can develop handcrafted instruments with great acoustic response and the most comfortable feel possible that invite to be played and inspire to make music.
