Jose Ramirez 140 CWE Spruce Cutaway Classical Guitar

€3,037.19

Jose Ramirez 140 CWE Spruce Cutaway Classical Guitar

Some guitars are chosen for their materials; others for the history behind their name. With Jose Ramirez, the two belong together. More than 140 years of Spanish guitar making and five generations of a family tradition provide the background to an instrument made for the music you want to play today.

Spruce brings a clear, direct and bright tonal character. The solid top is paired with solid Indian rosewood back and sides. It is a combination for players looking for an instrument with its own identity, whether working patiently through a demanding piece or returning to a favourite melody simply for the pleasure of playing.

The cutaway gives the left hand more room in the upper positions. It is a practical feature when exploring repertoire that carries the melody beyond the first few frets. The 140 CWE name identifies this cutaway design within the Ramirez family and distinguishes it from the full-body 140 Years models.

An ebony fingerboard and 650 mm scale are complemented by a cedar neck, Indian rosewood bridge and polyurethane finish. Designed by Ramirez and made in Spain, the guitar is checked and adjusted at the Ramirez workshop before distribution.

For amplified playing, choose from the electronics options listed on this page; the version without electronics keeps the instrument purely acoustic. A Ramirez to accompany serious practice, new musical ideas and the everyday pleasure of getting to know a guitar. Guitar case included.

At Guitar From Spain we ship worldwide. The only exceptions are shipments to countries with restrictions or embargoes due to geopolitical reasons, natural disasters or certain areas of the world without logistic coverage by our shipping agencies.

Our guitars are shipped insured in protective packaging designed for instruments. A case is not compulsory, but we recommend one for extra protection. Check the packaging on delivery and record visible damage in writing on the carrier’s delivery receipt. Report any damage immediately to the carrier and [email protected], with photographs, and keep the packaging. We recommend reporting it within the first 24 hours. Customer-authorised deliveries without a signature or to alternative locations are subject to our terms and conditions.

Full terms and conditions

Many guitars are received from the manufacturer or luthier after an order is placed. Normal preparation takes 3 to 10 business days from receipt of payment and includes our quality checks. Full terms and conditions

Notify us within 14 calendar days of receipt and send the product back within 14 calendar days of that notification. Original shipping charges are non-refundable and the buyer pays return shipping. For guitars, we apply a 10% reconditioning charge to the price actually paid for the guitar, excluding shipping and accessories. Additional deterioration is assessed and documented without duplicating costs already covered. For guitars made exclusively to the customer’s specifications, we require a deposit of 50% of the instrument’s price. You can cancel and receive the deposit back before we confirm the commission with the manufacturer. After confirmation, cancellation for a change of mind and refund of the deposit for that reason are not available. Manufacturer-made personalisations retain the official manufacturer’s warranty.
