The José Ramírez 140 Years Cedar Classical Guitar is part of a special collection created to celebrate more than 140 years of history and five generations of guitar makers from one of the most renowned names in Spanish guitar making.

This version combines a cedar top with Indian rosewood back and sides, a classic combination offering an immediate response, a warm, harmonically rich sound, strong basses and a particularly expressive character.

The 140 Years models use the same body shape as the commemorative Ramírez 125, 130 and Tiempo guitars. Their distinctive appearance features a design by Amalia Ramírez inspired by the narcissus flower, a symbol of “new beginnings”, giving the instrument a unique visual identity closely connected with the Ramírez family tradition.

These guitars come in a special finish with matt satin lacquered top and eco-friendly high gloss polyurethane varnish back and sides. All models include the original Spanish heel, the traditional feature of an authentic Spanish guitar. In this special construction method, the one-piece neck extends into the body and connects directly to the sides, back and top. This not only guarantees an enormous stability, but also the optimal transmission of vibrations, a faster response and a higher sustain. The true heart of a Spanish guitar. All guitars in the MAGISTRAL range are handmade in Europe and have additional features that are quite special in this moderate price range. These include the mahogany neck, which has an ebony inlay on the back for extra stability, the nut and bridge saddle, handmade from vintage oiled bone, and the eco-friendly water-based high-gloss lacquer. The innovative 12-hole Moreno bridge, thanks to its special construction, allows the strings to always have the same contact pressure on the bridge. In contrast to the standard 6-hole bridge, the strings can be fixed more easily, quickly and securely. The risk of the strings slipping and damaging the top is considerably reduced. All our shipments include handling and full insurance during shipment.

At Guitar From Spain we ship worldwide. The only exceptions are shipments to countries with restrictions or embargoes due to geopolitical reasons, natural disasters or certain areas of the world without logistic coverage by our shipping agencies.

Our shipments are safe, whether your guitar travels with or without a guitar case. Our packaging has been designed and manufactured exclusively for our company to the highest quality standards. In addition to this, our experience has taught us how to pack and protect a guitar so that it arrives in perfect condition at its destination, regardless of the distance or climate of the destination country. If, despite this, your shipment should suffer unavoidable loss or damage, our insurance will cover the full refund or restitution of your order.

Most of our guitars come from the factory or the luthier when we receive an order with the options that the customer indicates on the order. Our lead time for preparing an order is 3 to 10 days depending on the model and the options that the customer incorporates into the guitar in the order. In addition to this, all our guitars undergo an exhaustive quality control by our specialists before they are shipped. 

For deliveries to countries within the European Union, the VAT of each country is included in our prices. For shipments to countries outside the European Union, our prices do NOT include VAT, so they are subject to import taxes and customs fees that will be processed and charged by the transport agency prior to delivery of the order. The management of import taxes for shipments to countries outside the European Union is handled by the transport agency, so you do not have to worry about these procedures. You will only have to pay the amount of the import taxes to the transport agency when they inform you.
