The José Ramírez 140 Years Flamenca Negra is part of a special collection created to celebrate more than 140 years of history and five generations of guitar makers from one of the most renowned names in Spanish guitar making.

This Flamenca Negra version combines a spruce top with Indian rosewood back and sides, a configuration that complements the fast, articulate response expected from a flamenco guitar with greater depth, harmonic richness and tonal body.

The 140 Years models use the same body shape as the commemorative Ramírez 125, 130 and Tiempo guitars. Their distinctive appearance features a design by Amalia Ramírez inspired by the narcissus flower, a symbol of “new beginnings”, giving the instrument a particularly distinctive visual identity closely linked to the Ramírez family tradition.

The guitar features an ebony fingerboard, 650 mm scale length, Ramírez tuning machines and a synthetic finish. For players requiring amplification, an optional LR Baggs system is available, combining microphone and pickup to capture both the harmonic richness and the percussive character of the flamenco guitar.

The Alhambra 10FP PIÑANA is a professional flamenco negra guitar ideal for advanced students, teachers and concert guitarists. With a matte finish which produces a more powerful sound, this beautiful instrument was designed with the collaboration of the flamenco guitar player Carlos Piñana. Light to the touch, it is made with thin solid Indian rosewood back and sides for increased resonance and lively response and has a premium solid cedar top. Guided by traditional flamenco guitar design concepts as a baseline, its tone is intense, yet delicate.
