The José Ramírez 140 Years Cedar Classical Guitar is part of a special collection created to celebrate more than 140 years of history and five generations of guitar makers from one of the most renowned names in Spanish guitar making.

This version combines a cedar top with Indian rosewood back and sides, a classic combination offering an immediate response, a warm, harmonically rich sound, strong basses and a particularly expressive character.

The 140 Years models use the same body shape as the commemorative Ramírez 125, 130 and Tiempo guitars. Their distinctive appearance features a design by Amalia Ramírez inspired by the narcissus flower, a symbol of “new beginnings”, giving the instrument a unique visual identity closely connected with the Ramírez family tradition.

The guitar features an ebony fingerboard, 650 mm scale length, Ramírez tuning machines and a synthetic finish. For players requiring amplification, an optional LR Baggs system combining microphone and pickup is also available.

A versatile and expressive classical guitar combining the tradition of the Madrid School of Guitar Making with more than a century of José Ramírez guitar-making experience. Guitar case included.

Jose Ramirez 140 Years Spruce Classical Guitar

Some guitars are chosen for their materials; others for the history behind their name. With Jose Ramirez, the two belong together. More than 140 years of Spanish guitar making and five generations of a family tradition provide the background to an instrument made for the music you want to play today.

Spruce brings a clear, direct and bright tonal character. The solid top is paired with solid Indian rosewood back and sides. It is a combination for players looking for an instrument with its own identity, whether working patiently through a demanding piece or returning to a favourite melody simply for the pleasure of playing.

The full classical body preserves the familiar outline of the Spanish guitar. It invites advanced students and committed players to spend time with their sound: shaping a phrase, balancing melody and accompaniment, and developing an interpretation that feels their own.

An ebony fingerboard and 650 mm scale are complemented by a cedar neck, Indian rosewood bridge and polyurethane finish. Designed by Ramirez and made in Spain, the guitar is checked and adjusted at the Ramirez workshop before distribution.

The José Ramírez 140 Years Cedar Classical Guitar is part of a special collection created to celebrate more than 140 years of history and five generations of guitar makers from one of the most renowned names in Spanish guitar making.

This version combines a cedar top with Indian rosewood back and sides, a classic combination offering an immediate response, a warm, harmonically rich sound, strong basses and a particularly expressive character.

The 140 Years models use the same body shape as the commemorative Ramírez 125, 130 and Tiempo guitars. Their distinctive appearance features a design by Amalia Ramírez inspired by the narcissus flower, a symbol of “new beginnings”, giving the instrument a unique visual identity closely connected with the Ramírez family tradition.

The guitar features an ebony fingerboard, 650 mm scale length, Ramírez tuning machines and a synthetic finish. For players requiring amplification, an optional LR Baggs system combining microphone and pickup is also available.

A versatile and expressive classical guitar combining the tradition of the Madrid School of Guitar Making with more than a century of José Ramírez guitar-making experience. Guitar case included.

The Camps PRIMERA NEGRA guitar from Hermanos Camps is a professional flamenco guitar which is light to hold, punchy and fast responding. The Primera Negra model is a concert-level instrument, which has greater projection than its Blanca counterpart, due to the more rigid and stiff woods used to construct the back and sides. Although still a flamenco, this model in the Camps flamenco series could also be used to perform a classical repertoire, so for the flamenco guitarist seeking versatility, this option is an excellent choice. With solid spruce top, solid rosewood back and sides and a very open and vibrant sound. This model is certified by renowned musician Manuel Granados before it is allowed to leave the Camps workshop, to ensure it meets his exacting standards. Lovely gloss finish. The investment that the master luthiers at Alhambra Guitars have made over the last few years in research and development has come to fruition in this sublime signature model. As well as its excellent quality-price ratio, it is a beauty of an instrument, with a streak of colour from heel to bottom. Only select woods have been used, including exquisite Madagascar rosewood for the back and sides, which add to the character and distinction of this guitar.

In addition to the solid Madagascar back and sides, the guitar boasts a high-quality cedar top, and Schaller Grand Tune Classic Hauser machine heads. Bone has been used for the saddle and nut because of this material’s excellent ability to transmit sound.

For the finish of the Alhambra Premier Pro Madagascar, nitrocellulose lacquer varnish has been applied to the top. This varnish offers greater flexibility and a greater capacity of vibration to the guitar, which contributes directly to the resonance of this instrument. This model also incorporates a twelve-hole bridge for easier installation of the strings and an innovative bracing design called Chinese house. Case included.
