The Alhambra Iberia Ziricote was already an exceptional guitar when, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Alhambra Guitars, it was remodelled to create a truly unique instrument. The most important feature of this guitar is the singularly beautiful wood: the back and sides are made from Ziricote (Cordia dodecandra). This wood produces a deep and warm sound that could be described as reminiscent of Spain itself. Although each guitar is always one of a kind, this is especially true in this model; it is much easier to notice the difference between one Iberia Ziricote and another. It has been designed with a narrow neck which is made from mahogany. Feedback from guitarists who play this instrument to perform tells us that this ergoneck makes all the difference - it is a very comfortable instrument to play. The saddle and nut are made of melamine, a material that transmits a lot of sound, without sacrificing balance. The fingerboard is made of Indian rosewood, which has a high grade of hardness, but at the same time produces elegant shades of sound. The distance between strings and frets has been carefully set to add to the comfort of playing this instrument. This is a mid-range guitar that manages to combine beauty with high performance.
