It consists of a thin piece of softwood that is supported by 7 braces, with 2 harmonic bars at the bottom. The qualities of the woods used include a close grain count and high stiffness to mass ratio, which allow maximum output for the minimum input, and contribute to its resilience, light weight and resonance. Beautifully hand-made in Spain, with an inlaid wooden rosette, this guitar is the perfect example of the love the Alhambra guitar makers have for their craft. The neck of the guitar features an internal ebony reinforcement. For the construction of the body of the 5 P model, which together with the top is what most influences the sound of the guitar, we have used an internal bars design consisting of a thin wood that is supported by seven bars, two of them on the lower part. This construction system contributes to a stronger, yet lighter instrument, as well as improving the sound, giving it more body, warmth and richness. The Alhambra Iberia Ziricote was already an exceptional guitar when, to commemorate the 50^th anniversary of Alhambra Guitars, it was remodelled to create a truly unique instrument. The most important feature of this guitar is the singularly beautiful wood: the back and sides are made from Ziricote (Cordia dodecandra). This wood produces a deep and warm sound that could be described as reminiscent of Spain itself. Although each guitar is always one of a kind, this is especially true in this model; it is much easier to notice the difference between one Iberia Ziricote and another. It has been designed with a narrow neck which is made from mahogany.
